We worked with a partner to create a short 60-90 second film that develops a story illustrating a word assigned to us. We had to use shots and angles to help explain the story of the assigned word. We also had to complete a brainstorming sheet that was used to help develop a shot list and possible editing techniques. Right before filming we also completed a storyboard to map and really get an idea of what the finished product is going to look like.
My word was "Awe". My partner and I didn't really know what to do at first. While completing the brainstorming sheet we were just throwing out ideas in the air and then we finally thought of one that we thought would be good and jotted it down on the sheet. Once we completed that we moved on to the storyboarding, we mapped out our idea and it all looked pretty good. We knew exactly what shots we were going to use and how we were going to use them. When we got to the filming process some shots on our storyboarding made more sense and looked better on paper than in the actual shot, so, we changed a couple things up along the way. After the filming, it came down to the editing. The resource I used to edit my project was Premiere Rush, it was very easy to navigate and edit the clips how I wanted them. Overall I think the shots and angles we used were good, but I would like to improve the actual story next time.
